Day 1

Kathmandu arrival, Welcome to Nepal!

Your Arrival Time (?) Our office representative will meet and greet you in typical Nepali style at Kathmandu airport and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu.

At. 06: 00 PM: We will meet for a coffee talk at your hotel and brief you on the details of your ongoing trip itinerary. If you arrive late after 5 PM, we will meet the following day for breakfast. 

(If you're interested in additional activities during your tour in Kathmandu, please let us know your preferences in advance. This will allow us to schedule and book the programs accordingly.)

Day 2

Kathmandu Sightseeing, Tour preparation.

At. 10:00 AM: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on an exciting sightseeing program within Kathmandu Valley. Once you're prepared, your transportation will arrive at your hotel. After it arrives, you can begin your journey towards the incredible landmarks to witness their ancient beauty. 

Begin your fully guided sightseeing tour at the nearest point, Kathmandu Durbar Square. The former Royal Palace will enchant you with its complex architectural patterns and fascinating tales and history. Numerous merchants selling handcrafted items such as jewellery, decoration pieces, and other items may be found in front of the court. Then, proceed to Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. This is one of the most essential Buddhist sites. To reach the summit of the monument, hundreds of stairs must be climbed. View the panoramic view and put yourself to the test. After that, visit the world-famous Pashupatinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and recognized for its stunning pagoda architecture. There you can find other culturally significant monuments in the temple's vicinity. The final visit is Boudhanath Stupa, where the beautiful aroma of incense and the soft chirping of birds will greet you warmly. Visit Thamel to prepare for your trip and purchase any necessary items. There are numerous shops where you can purchase the necessary equipment and other stuff for your tour. Remember to wear warm clothing when visiting Nepal's hills. They may be found in Thamel. We recommend bringing products from home because the quality in Nepal may fall short of your expectations. We will meet in the evening for a welcome dinner at a restaurant. A traditional Thakali Dinner will be served, followed by a cultural show featuring traditional songs and performances.

Day 3

Fly to Pokhara, Drive to Jomsom. [2,743m/8,999 ft]

At. 08:00 AM: Today, you'll travel to another amazing city in Nepal before embarking on your adventurous journey to the mountain deserts. Eat breakfast and prepare yourself as your transportation arrives. Your transportation will take you to the airport, where you can catch a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The flight duration is approximately 30-35 minutes.

Note: You can take a Jomsom flight from Pokhara instead of driving. The flights operate from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This flight is dependent on weather conditions. If the weather is unsuitable, the flight will not operate to avoid potential flight risks. The fight from Pokhara to Jomsom typically lasts around 20-30 minutes.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, our local representative will meet you at the airport and transport you to your final destination in Jomsom. Transportation is available by jeep to Jomsom, where your cycling journey will begin. The total distance from Pokhara to Jomsom is around 155 km and will take around 7- 8 hours, depending on the traffic and road conditions. The road to Jomsom follows the Kali Gandaki River following Beni-Jomsom Road. You will drive through Nayapul, Beni, Kalopani, and Marpha, and finally reach Jomsom. The road offers both relaxing as well as off-the-track experiences, with a bit of rough road on some parts. Once you reach Jomsom, check in at the hotel/local lodge and rest well for the next day. Have your dinner and stay overnight at a comfortable local lodge. 

Important Note: You will start your journey from 822 elevations (Pokhara) to Jomsom, which is 2,747 m above sea level and higher in the coming days, meaning you need to acclimatize in Jomsom before heading uphill. As this tour is in the highlands of Nepal, altitude sickness could be a risk. To avoid altitude sickness, drink 4-6 liters of water daily, eat carbohydrate rich foods and slowly ascend.

Day 4

Cycling from Jomsom to Chhusang. [3,559m/11,677 ft]

At. 08:00 AM: Today, you will embark on an exciting journey through the highlands of Nepal on your mountain bikes. Start your journey by having breakfast at the lodge before slowly making your way towards Chhusang, your destination for today. Today, you will travel 22 km from Jomsom to Chhusang, a stunning village with breathtaking scenery and clean, refreshing air. 

The trail to Chhusang offers a diverse landscape and varying architecture as you progress through the trans-Himalayan regions. The trail leads to a transition from a green area to a cold desert-like landscape. On your way to Chhusang, you will pass through Ekle Bhatti, Kagbeni, and Tangbe. Enjoy a delightful lunch experience in Kagbeni, where you'll discover a variety of restaurants offering local cuisine and delectable dishes. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking highland surroundings while savoring the delicious food and pleasant ambiance. After lunch, take some time to explore the area before continuing your journey. Upon arriving at Chhusang, check in at the lodge and freshen up while your dinner is being prepared. You can also visit the local monastery if you arrive early. Chhusang is a stunning location with vast sand hills and seasonal agricultural fields near the Kali Gandaki River.

Day 5

Chhusang to Ghami. [3,560m/11,680 ft]

At. 07:00 AM: You will start early today. Enjoy breakfast at the local lodge before embarking on today's challenging trail. The trail spans 29 km and involves both ascending and descending. You'll pass through Ghyakar, Samar, and Sangboche on your way to Ghami

The trail offers beautiful scenery with both uphill and downhill sections. You'll enjoy a stunning view of snow-capped mountains above sandy walls. At high elevations, the harsh environment limits the presence of trees and vegetation. However, as you approach Ghami, you will notice occasional patches of greenery. Your guide will suggest a charming place for lunch in one of the villages on the way to Ghami.

(Avoid altitude sickness and other injuries by taking short rests, drinking enough water, and keeping a steady pace as you ascend to a higher altitude.)

According to the season, the fields beside the Ghami village are covered by beautiful pink buckwheat flowers, making the place absolutely stunning. As you get closer to Ghami, the beautiful scenery of glittering mountains, pale sand hills, traditional architecture, and a little bit of greenery greets you. Once in the village, check in at the comfortable local lodge. Rest your bags and get freshened up. Explore the village area with its unique architecture and get along with the locals. Enjoy the dinner and rest well for the next day.

Day 6

Ghami to Upper Mustang/Lo Manthang. [3,840m/12,599 ft]

At. 08:00 AM: Today you will make your way to your final destination of this trip, which is Lo Manthang also known as the Upper Mustang. Lo Manthang is located near the border area between Tibet and Nepal. In the Upper Mustang area, you'll encounter architecture and religious sites, like monasteries, that bear a strong influence from Tibetan architecture due to its proximity to Tibet. In addition to the stunning architecture, you'll be captivated by the incredible attractions in this place. 

The distance between Ghami and Lo Manthang is approximately 21 km, with a gradual incline and decline in addition to the stunning landscapes. Upon arrival at Lo Manthang, proceed to the local lodge and settle in. Experience the breathtaking beauty of the starry night and marvel at the sparkling night sky on clear evenings. Take the opportunity to explore the nearby area while your dinner is being prepared. Stay overnight at a cozy lodge nearby.

Day 7

Lo Manthang Exploration. [3,840m/12,599 ft]

At. 09:00 AM: Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before beginning your tour. Today, you'll have the opportunity to explore Nepal's forbidden kingdom, Lo Manthang, for the entire day. There are many things to see, experience, and admire here. You can leave your baggage as you explore, since you will be returning to the same hotel after your exploration. Lo Manthang, an ancient walled city in Nepal, is nestled in the secluded mountains, far from urban areas, creating a world of its own. The topography in this region of Nepal is unique, characterized by a trans-Himalayan landscape that is cold and dry. The region is near the Tibet border, allowing you to experience Tibetan culture, traditions, and architecture influenced by Tibetan Buddhism. 

This place offers attractions such as tall white-washed mud brick walls, mysterious caves, Gompa (Monastery), and an ancient Royal Palace that was built 600 years ago. The Tibetan Buddhist Gompas, like Jampa Lhakhang or Jampa Gompa, also known as 'God House', were built in the early 15th century and hold great significance for the local community. Mysterious caves within towering walls, Mani walls, and breathtaking views of the surroundings will enhance your cycling experience. 

Connect with locals and immerse yourself in untouched nature. Your guide will give you all the necessary information. In addition, you can explore the seasonal agricultural fields to observe the crops and visit the village to gain a deeper understanding of the local culture, traditions, and way of life. Lo Manthang is situated near the Tibetan border, allowing visitors to observe and appreciate the majestic landscape from a close distance. If you're interested in exploring and seeing the border, you can visit with a guide while following the rules. Return to the lodge after exploring. Stay overnight at the local lodge.

Day 8

Lo Manthang to Chhusang. [3,559m/11,677 ft]

At. 07:00 AM: You will return to Chhusang today by the same road you came from. Before heading back, enjoy breakfast at the lodge and bid farewell to the enchanting Lo Manthang. You'll travel a distance of 52 km, mostly downhill with a few uphill stretches. The trail offers a pleasant experience as you gradually descend to areas with more settlements and lower elevations. 

Go back to Chhusang village, check in at the local lodge, and freshen up. Explore the village, sample local cuisine, and discover unique dishes. Conclude your day with a delightful dinner at the lodge.

Day 9

Chhusang to Marpha. [2,650m/ 8,694 ft]

At. 08:00 AM: Enjoy your breakfast and get ready for an exciting bike ride to an incredible destination, Marpha. The distance from Chhusang to Marpha is 28 km, mostly downhill. The trail is easier today without any uphill sections like in previous days. The stunning view of the mountains and incredible terrain will provide excellent entertainment. As you approach Marpha, the landscape gradually becomes greener due to the slightly lower altitude. 

Marpha, also known as the Apple Kingdom of Nepal, is a celestial place renowned for its apple production and captivating architecture. Marpha is famous for its narrow streets, which are a major attraction in the area. After you arrive, please check in at the local lodge and get a good rest for the following day.

Day 10

Marpha to Beni. [899m/2,949 ft]

At. 07:00 AM: Today marks the final leg of your cycling journey, where you will cover the longest distance of 68 km, all downhill. Start your day by having breakfast at the lodge before continuing your mountain biking tour. The road is smooth, so cycling will be easy. Today's journey will be calm and effortless. You can take breaks and enjoy the view along the way. You can stop for lunch at several great places that offer delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere. Resume your journey promptly after lunch to ensure a timely arrival at your destination. 

Beni is located at the confluence of two rivers, Kali Gandaki and Myagdi. Beni is a highly developed area compared to the Upper Mustang region. It is also known as the Gateway to Muktinath Temple, a significant Hindu temple in Nepal. 

Upon arrival in Beni, make sure to check in at the local lodge and take the opportunity to explore the surrounding area. Beni offers access to breathtaking mountain ranges like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and more. Visiting Muktinath Temple is optional and requires an additional day. Get a good night's sleep for tomorrow.

Day 11

Drive to Pokhara. [822m/2,696 ft]

At. 09:00 AM: Today marks the end of your exhilarating journey through Upper Mustang. Conclude your tour by enjoying a delightful breakfast at the nearby lodge, then hop into the jeep and head back to Pokhara. Due to the unsuitable road conditions and the majority of the route being off the beaten path, you will be returning to Pokhara via Jeep instead of cycling. The road is less traveled and the distance is longer than usual. You can drive 83 km in 5-7 hours. The drive is enjoyable and offers beautiful scenery as you comfortably reach your destination. 

(Note: If you plan to visit the attractions in Pokhara, you have the option to add an extra day or visit the nearest one upon your arrival. However, please be aware that this will incur additional costs.)

You can choose to have lunch either on the way or directly in Pokhara for more food options. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check-in at the hotel and enjoy your leisure time by the lakeside. Take in the delightful atmosphere as you savor your favorite comfort food and drink. Pokhara's nightlife is vibrant and beautiful, offering plenty to explore in the evening. There are several restaurants, live music bars, and comfortable food hubs where you can spend your time.

Day 12

Fly to Kathmandu, Bhaktapur Sightseeing.

At. 09:00 AM: Today, your transportation will arrive, and you will be returning to Kathmandu. Before you depart, enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Your transportation will drop you off at Pokhara Airport, where you will then catch a flight to Kathmandu. The total duration of the flight is approximately 30 to 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Kathmandu Airport, our local representative will pick you up and transport you to your designated hotel. Check-in at the hotel and prepare for the sightseeing program. 

Drop off your bags at the hotel and prepare yourself to explore another amazing city near Kathmandu, Bhaktapur. Your transportation will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to the site. Bhaktapur is an ancient city that is home to the Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square to admire its historical monuments, intricately carved wood columns, majestic palaces, and temples adorned with exquisite carvings and gilded roofs. It is situated approximately 12 km west of Patan Durbar Square. You will see amazing architecture such as Agra Chadi Bhagwati, Badrinath Temple, The Golden Gate, 55-Window Palace, Vatsala Durga Temple, Siddhi Laxmi Temple, and many more. Have lunch near the Durbar area with a spectacular aerial view of the square and drive towards Kathmandu.

Note: If you wish, you have the option to visit Chandragiri instead of Bhaktapur. Chandragiri is a stunning hill station near the Kathmandu Valley. The location is approximately 15 km from Thamel. The travel time to reach there usually takes between 40 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic. The cable car facility offers an incredible experience for reaching the summit. Atop a scenic hill lies a breathtaking resort offering a delightful lunch option after exploring the nearby area. You will enjoy a stunning view of the Kathmandu Valley from here, including the beautiful hills and, on clear days, a glimpse of the majestic mountain peaks. These add-ons are optional and will incur additional costs.

In the evening, visit Thamel in Kathmandu, known for its handmade home decor and authentic Nepali items. It's a great place to shop for souvenirs.

Departure, Farewell!

You will have leisure time in Kathmandu after breakfast at your hotel. Our office representative will escort you to Kathmandu Airport 3 hours before boarding your flight. It may take 30 minutes to reach the airport from the hotel. Have a safe return home!
