Additionally, you will visit several religious sites and hill stations, where you can explore the magnificent beauty of the surroundings. To enhance your experience, you will also participate in yoga sessions led by a certified yoga instructor, allowing you to relax and rejuvenate. When you visit Kathmandu, you will experience the bustling streets filled with vibrant colors. In contrast, Pokhara offers a closer connection to nature, allowing you to immerse yourself in the peaceful surroundings. Below is a list of some of the most incredible places you will visit during your trip.

UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Nepal is a country that boasts a rich historical and natural heritage. It is home to numerous monuments and popular landmarks that hold significant historical importance. Nepal stands out as one of the few countries that has never been under the control of foreign powers. This unique aspect has resulted in history, culture, and art that remain largely untouched by external influences, making them highly authentic. The landmarks in Nepal mainly consist of religious sites and a formal royal palace. During your sightseeing program, you will have the opportunity to visit several iconic sites in Nepal. In Kathmandu, you can explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. Additionally, you will visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square. In Pokhara, you will have the chance to witness more natural attractions such as Devi's Fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, World Peace Pagoda, Bindhyabasini Temple, and Tal Barahi Temple, located in the middle of Phewa Lake. Besides the attractions you will visit, these cities are attractions in their own right. They boast vibrant city life where you will get to experience both the buzz and the calm.

Namo Buddha Monastery

During your stay in Kathmandu, you will have the opportunity to visit several amazing places, one of which is the Namo Buddha Monastery. This monastery is particularly unique and stands out as a highlight of your trip. This monastery is home to a community of monks who dedicate themselves to studying and practicing Buddhist doctrines. This monastery offers accommodation facilities for those who wish to stay overnight and experience what it's like to stay among monks. It is located in a very quiet place on top of a hill, offering an amazing view of the valley and even the mountains on clear days.

Nagarkot

Nagarkot is a hill station located in the Kathmandu Valley. It offers breathtaking views of both sunrise and sunset, thanks to its elevation of 2,175m above sea level. It is a highly regarded destination near Kathmandu, known for providing a relaxing experience. The place is situated far from the city, specifically to the east of Kathmandu, providing a peaceful environment away from the noise. From this elevated position, you will have the opportunity to witness not only the breathtaking sunrise and sunset but also the magnificent snow-capped mountains, including the Annapurna range, Manasalu range, Ganesh Himal range, Rolwaling range, and on clear days, even Mount Everest. Here, you can meditate and practice yoga while breathing in crisp, fresh air.

Dhampus

Dhampus, also known as the Australian Base Camp, is situated north of Pokhara city, away from the modern urban area and close to traditional villages. Dhampus is situated at an elevation of 2,060 meters above sea level. The village offers a stunning view of majestic mountains such as Annapurna, Mt. Fishtail, Himchuli, and other breathtaking peaks. Unlike other destinations, this particular place requires hiking as the only means of reaching it, as transportation is unable to access the area. This place is truly wonderful and has a charming village vibe. It lacks commercial buildings, and the majority of the people here are locals who lead simple lives. It's a great opportunity to learn about their culture and experience a satisfying, yet simple lifestyle.

The Nepal Yoga Tour will take you on a journey to some of the most beautiful places in Nepal. These locations are situated in magnificent settings, offering breathtaking beauty, tranquility, and new experiences. During your trip, you will have the opportunity to follow a carefully planned day-to-day itinerary. Weather in Nepal: Nepal's climate varies greatly due to its diverse topography and altitude, leading to a wide range of weather conditions throughout the country. The climate is typically divided into four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

Spring, which spans from March to May, offers an ideal opportunity to visit Nepal thanks to its pleasant and mild weather. Temperatures range from 16°C to 23°C (61°F to 73°F) at lower elevations, with cooler temperatures at higher altitudes. The current season is perfect for trekking, with clear skies and beautiful rhododendron forests in full bloom. Mountaineering expeditions are popular now too. In Nepal, heavy rainfall and occasional landslides happen during the summer season (June-August) due to the monsoon, especially in the lower regions. Despite the rain, some areas can still reach 30°C (86°F). The greenery and rice terraces are stunning this season.

The best time to visit Nepal is during autumn, which spans from September to November. After the monsoon season, the skies have cleared up, revealing stunning mountain views. The weather is consistently mild, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 24°C (59°F to 75°F). The pleasant climate and breathtaking scenery make it the peak season for trekking, cultural tours, and wildlife safaris. Kathmandu and Pokhara, situated at lower elevations, experience milder temperatures ranging from 9°C to 12°C (48°F to 54°F). Winter is ideal for lower-altitude treks, cultural tours, and wildlife safaris in the Terai region.

Patience and practice are the basic virtues of yoga. Individuals with little or no experience are welcome to join the tour, as the yoga session is designed to accommodate any type of participant and includes hatha yoga with light stretches and simple breathing techniques. A professional yoga instructor will be there to guide you throughout your session.

  • What are the equipment's needed for yoga? Will it be provided by the company?

There’s not much equipment required for yoga. A comfortable yoga mat is enough for yoga. Aside from that, comfortable and stretchable yoga pants with a shirt as per your necessity would be better for your flexibility. And the yoga mat will be provided if necessary by the company.

  • Why should I do yoga in Nepal?

Yoga has a long-running history since ancient times and has been practiced by people from different parts of the world. Yoga in Nepal is more than just an exercise; it also brings mental peace and spiritual energy from the natural wonders. Yoga in Nepal is associated with stories, mantras, breathing techniques, philosophies, and energies of the five elements (water, air, fire, earth, and ether) to balance yoga and the body. Besides the historical facts, Nepal boasts beautiful and tranquil places where you can practice yoga and observe beautiful nature.

  • What activities aside from yoga are included?

Besides yoga, one can enjoy leisure time through self-exploration activities. Enjoy a lively evening around the lakeside in the vibrant market, outside restaurants, and beautiful city lights. You can try different stick foods served in the lakeside area. While in Kathmandu, take your time exploring the bustling Thamel area, which is the centre for tourists. Make the most of your time with the cosy restaurants and cafes it offers. You can also shop for local products as souvenirs/gifts, like jewellery, clothes, and handcrafted decoration items.

  • What is the highest altitude gained on this trip?

You will start your trip from Kathmandu (1,400 m) to the highest point of the trip, Poonhill (3,210 m), where you will gain approximately 2,000 m. The trek is not too hard since it is the perfect short trek for beginners and not too physically demanding. While the Ghorepani Poonhill Trek involves a relatively lower altitude compared to other challenging treks of Nepal, there’s still a risk of altitude sickness, resulting in mild symptoms such as nausea and headache. To avoid the risk, it is necessary to listen to your body, communicate your symptoms, stay hydrated, and descend as soon as possible.
