Kathmandu, the country's capital, is often referred to as the heart of Nepal. It serves as a melting pot for hundreds of ethnicities, who peacefully coexist in the city with great harmony. Kathmandu, also known as the city of temples, lives up to its reputation with religious monuments found within a 1 km radius. The city boasts numerous religious sites and ancient architecture that was built centuries ago. Although not listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, these sites can be explored during your sightseeing programs. Sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, a former royal palace located in the middle of a bustling city, are packed with ancient temples and architectural wonders. These temples and places were built centuries ago and are now open to the public for exploration and to appreciate their beauty. Another beautiful site is Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple. It is situated on a hilltop, providing a panoramic view of the entire Kathmandu valley. Located atop a hill, accessing this stunning site requires climbing hundreds of stairs. While physically challenging, the walk is worth it. Next is Pashupatinath Temple, which is a religious site and one of the most revered Hindu sites in the world. Most of the structures in the Pashupatinath area are pagoda-style, dating back to the Malla era. Lastly, there is the Boudhanath Stupa, a Buddhist site situated northeast of Kathmandu. Spring, which spans from March to May, offers an ideal opportunity to visit Nepal thanks to its pleasant and mild weather. Despite the rain, some areas can still reach 30°C (86°F). The greenery and rice terraces are stunning this season.

The best time to visit Nepal is during autumn, which spans from September to November. After the monsoon season, the skies have cleared up, revealing stunning mountain views. The weather is consistently mild, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 24°C (59°F to 75°F). The pleasant climate and breathtaking scenery make it the peak season for trekking, cultural tours, and wildlife safaris. Kathmandu and Pokhara, situated at lower elevations, experience milder temperatures ranging from 9°C to 12°C (48°F to 54°F).
