Hassan - The Paradise of Karnataka

This town is quite popular with history buffs and South India’s architectural marvels, as it provides access to some of the most well-known ancient temples and historical sites. While you are here, you will visit some of the ancient monuments, starting with Chennakeshava Temple, known for its spectacular Hoysala architecture, located in Belur. This temple dates back to the 12th century and features intricate embellishment with elaborate carvings, minute sculptures, and exquisitely carved pillars. Another one is Hoysaleswara Temple, another great example of Hoysala design at its finest in Halebidu. The entire temple complex is a masterpiece, with jaw-dropping sculptures and exquisite friezes depicting stories from Hindu mythology. The significant religious complex, with two shrines devoted to Lord Shiva, features amazing craftsmanship. Last but not least is Shravanabelagola, the imposing monolithic monument of Lord Gomateshwara Bahubali. Shravanabelagola is a well-known Jai pilgrimage site. The massive landmark is 57 feet tall and has the biggest free-standing sculpture in the world, which is a great example of ancient architecture. Hospet - The Steel City of Karnataka
Also known as Hosapete, it serves as a major entry point to the ancient Hampi ruins of Karnataka. Located on the banks of the Ungabhadra River and around 13 km from Hampi (Vijayanagar), which was once the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. Iconic monuments such as the breathtaking Hampi Temple are a testament to the Vijayanagara Empire, which is reflected in the temples of Hampi, which are known for their exquisite carvings and magnificent architectural designs.
